WuFF Dog Training has partnered with DEN Urban Dog Retreat to offer members-only, small-group classes to enrich your dog’s daycare experience. Located in Northeast Los Angeles, DEN is Los Angeles’ premier wellness center for dogs. With over 10,500 sq. ft. of enlightened indoor & outdoor space, we are proud to offer a rotating schedule of positive reinforcement training & enrichment classes, from basic to advanced obedience & recreational sports. Dogs take turns learning & playing with each other for a well-rounded day training experience while you’re away.

A daycare assessment is required for all dogs attending class. Dogs must be sociable with dogs, people & new environments. Space is limited to ensure we can connect with each dog & foster their unique talents.

If you need support for reactivity, aggression, fear, resource guarding, or separation anxiety, or if you have an under-vaccinated puppy, please see Private Training options instead.

  • German Shepherd mix learning to search for odor in Scent Work enrichment class at DEN Urban Dog Retreat in Los Angeles

    Did you know that dogs' noses are 100,000 times more sensitive than ours? In this Scent Work class, dogs use their most powerful sense to search for three target odors (birch, anise, clove) paired with treats. Dogs build confidence while learning to work independently & lead the search.

    Improve your dog's recall under various distractions in this indoor/outdoor class. Dogs practice “touch” & “come” cues on a long line in different environments, around dogs, people, food, toys & more. Dogs learn to reliably come when called in various high distraction environments. Have the confidence that your dog will come back to you on hikes, park trips, beach trips & all your adventures.

    This all-levels agility class is great exercise & enrichment! Dogs learn body awareness & build confidence learning obstacles such as the A-frame, jumps, tire jump, tunnel & weave poles.

  • Dogs learn to focus on their handler, follow a casual "heel" cue, maintain a loose leash with no pulling, and navigate distractions in DEN Urban Dog Retreat's Loose Leash Walking class in northeast Los Angeles

    3 P.M.

    In this loose leash walking class, dogs learn fundamental leash skills for easy, enjoyable walks. Dogs learn to focus on their handler, follow a casual "heel" cue, maintain a loose leash with no pulling, and navigate distractions. Dogs learn to walk on a loose leash individually and as part of a small-group pack walk. This is the perfect training complement to our adventure hikes!

    Dogs learn real world skills for a fun, positive experience in community settings. Dogs practice advanced obedience skills at our shaded outdoor coffee shop, picnic tables, office, or common areas for a well-rounded training experience that prepares them for the AKC Canine Good Citizen tests & all of life's adventures.
